Thanks Paul,

saw this over there ......
To avoid any confusion Graphtec want to assure its customers that it is only the name that has changed – not the machine.
clears that up then!

It has to be Ultrachrome ink. Pigmented inks might be the same, but generic pigmented inks might not be suitable. Ultrachrome inks are used in the larger format printers as well as the desktop units, but I would be wary about buying 3rd party inks unless you're assured the colours as well as the black is ultrachrome.

The silhouette brand brings added features, possibly software enhancements but also rhinestones which I believe are popular with the silhouette model. Info from Graphtec is being released to distributors in the New Year.

So, does anyone know where I can get hold of the cheapest 'NEW' epson A4 printer that takes durabrite inks?

And then the question would be does durabrite ink come in a CISS system, and if not does anyone know the cheapest place for cartridges?

I would have said A3 but then I realised that I need to keep it to A4 as my little craft robbo is the only cutter I have with an optical eye to cut round the vinyl when printed - now, why did I decide that I didn't want one for my other cutter! (hindsight is a wonderful thing!).
