Having trouble with learning to sublimate onto chromaluxe 8x10 panels. I have tried twice and its not turning out. My printer is a Epson WF-7710 using DyeMaster-R 105gsm paper at 400 degrees (drops a few degrees upon press, but not much) with image face down and substrate face up per instruction. Tried both medium and high pressure when closing (or what i think is med/high pressure). I hover over the image for 10 seconds to ensure its dry and the second time I did a 45 second press on the substrate as well(online recommendation) to ensure it was ready to receive the image. I have included pictures of both of the ones I tried in hopes that someone else has made the same mistakes before and will recognize it. Any guidance is welcomed.

Re: Chromaluxe sublimation help
I'm assuming you removed the clear plastic film from the sheets before pressing?
I use Sublimetals oanels and press with a VERY light pressure.

Re: Chromaluxe sublimation help
Could be too much temp causing the mottling. My metal I press at 160c for 70 secs, keeping the temp down helps. As with most products, you don't need much pressure as there's nowhere to push the image into
Good tip above to removed the plastic, we've all done it.

Re: Chromaluxe sublimation help
Cut a panel into small pieces to experiment with as it's usually a bit hit-and-miss at first.
I use only enough pressure to lock the press. Virtually just the weight of the top platen is enough.

Re: Chromaluxe sublimation help
Good idea Webtrekker. I'll try that. Experimenting with full panels is expensive.
