Okay. I'm having a few problems with my printer. The 7715. I'm on my 4th in a year and half. I need to get a new one, again!! So would you recommend I get another 7715, or go for the XP.

The XP is only A3 not A3+, and I don't know about the availability of refillables or cis.
Isn't the 7715 sold as a light commercial with a 2 year warrenty?

Could be why I'm having so many issues with it. This one I have is only 2 days old, and I'm already having issues with it. I'm wondering if it's the ink etc that I'm using. I only had my last one for 3 month, when I had to exchange it for this one!

Are you setting up your refillable carts properly? You shouldn't be on your fifth printer. When you fill up the carts with ink, you need to suck the ink through the cart with a syringe to remove any air pockets. When you buy the carts, most suppliers don't give you proper instructions for maintaining them.

Hi Debbie, the WF7000 series really don't work well with refillable ink cartridges. I have tested them on many suppliers refillable cartridges and they simply do not work well. I only ever sell WF7000 series (WF7110 WF7610 WF210 WF7710) with a CISS, the printing heads in those machines really do not like an interruption in the ink delivery . i.e when you remove and refill an cartridge ink flow is interrupted and you get ink delivery issues.

I have neber supplied or sold the WF7715 but assume it used he same head as the above models so same would apply in my opinion.

Do not bother buying an XP960 again I have tested these and they do not work with sublimation ink in my opinion. They use sponge based ink cartridges which block really easily. I also found the same issue with XP900, XP700 and XP760 models.

I have replied to the PM you sent earlier too.

Agreed Gary, we have to take photos and make our own instructions as the cartridges are not supplied with anything from China. Most sellers do not bother and I assume hope the customer can work it out themselves.

In my opinion the printer Debbie is using shouldn't run with rerfillable as the capacity is too small especially on the black ink cartridge. Also they use Precision Core printing heads which I find do not work well with RIC as the interruption when refilling causes air pockets and head blockages. CISS work better on these printers in my experience. I believe the Precision Core head is the same developed for most of the Ecotank printer range (these never get an interruption of ink delivery so again leads me to think they work best with CISS)
