Hi all.
Hope this helps, I was rooting in my attic and found my twin probe digital temperature gauge i bought of ebay a couple of years ago.
Anyway probes taped on opposite side of mug to handle, with T1 being the mug base inserted in the right hand side press towards the main power feed for the element.
Room temp spare mug that sits in my press for heat up to idle and cooling down to idle and off etc.
Not too far out each end seeing the base is always going to take longer to heat up.
Enjoy.
