Hi
Was wondering if anyone has ever encountered small blue and occasionally red dots appearing of white polyester once it has been heat pressed?
We have been test running some cushion covers and white t-shirts and after they have been heat pressed, there are small blue dots all over the fabric. We have cleaned both the machine, and teflon sheet and still it occurs.
These spots only appear (or so we have noticed) when pressing fabric, we have pressed key rings, coasters etc and haven’t had an issue with them.
Any help and advice would be very much appreciated by this newbie trying to learn the trade lol

Re: Blue spots on fabric after pressing
The blue specks are a result of bits of dust and other small bits that are on the surface of the fabric which turn blue when heat pressed.
A lint roller rolled over the shirt before pressing will solve the problem.

These lint flecks can also be transferred from your clothing, cotton tops are worse so I wear a polyester T shirt when sublimating and this seems to help reduce the issue
