I've only just begun sublimating and really don't know much about it and I'm not the greatest techy either. I am trying to sublimate on to acrylic hearts.
When I heat press them the colours are wrong eg black looks brown.
I don't think I am over pressing them, I've tried various pressures, times and temperatures with no luck.
I'm using inkforinkjet sub ink Subrop x hd. An epson 2500 printer and trupix paper.
I think my icc profile settings and printer settings could possibly be wrong.
Could someone check them for me and let me know if there's a problem there.
TIA

Re: Sublimation problems-colours wrong
It looks like you are printing from Illustrator but, to be blunt, your pictures are tiny and low res so I am having trouble seeing them clearly.
Could you please do a larger version of the second photo and save it at a higher quality - perhaps 800 px wide and say 60% quality?
That seems to be the Colour Management settings which will affect your output quite a lot.
Thanks.

Re: Sublimation problems-colours wrong
You need to install a proper profile for the inks and paper you are using. Any reputable supplier of dye sublimation ink will be able to provide this for you. If they can't then my recommendation would be to throw the ink away and start again with a reputable supplier.
I have no idea who inkforinkjet are so they might be a decent supplier.
The supplier should also provide you with clear instructions on how to install the profile.
Once you have done this give it another try, ignore the colours on the paper, it will be very different to what is actually printed. If the finished item is spot on then great, if not you could try a custom profile which costs about £25-30 and takes a couple of weeks.

Re: Sublimation problems-colours wrong
Just looked at their website and it does look like you are using a profile provided by them for your ink/printer set up and you are letting the software control the colours rather than the printer so that does seem correct.
Have you been back to Inkforinkjet and asked them their thoughts?
Not really familiar with that printer although we do use an Epson so sorry I cannot help more. Have you tried printing on anything else such as a polyester shirt to try and rule out the acrylic?

Stella, thank you for your replies. I have spoken to Inkforinkjet and they have suggested I get them to create a custom icc profile for me. I haven't tried subbing on to anything else but have some ceramic blanks I will try. Thank you so much for your help.
