Anyone print onto clothing vinyl?
Re: Anyone print onto clothing vinyl?
Hi,
Is there anyone that prints onto clothing vinyl on here? I want to add some extra detail to my designs and thought that maybe printed clothing vinyl might be a good idea for this.
I cannot afford to purchase something like a BN-20 yet so would be looking at outsourcing, I'm just not sure what the quality and durability is like?
Thanks

I do print on vinyl I also print for others too. Quality is very descent. it also depends how big is your design. As bigger design means less comfortable to wear.

Re: Anyone print onto clothing vinyl?
Just started doing this with our Latex and testing new materials.
Re: Anyone print onto clothing vinyl?
I just wanted to add a bit of colour/depth to the designs I use to help it stand out from the crowd, such as a crown or bow etc.
Do you have any idea what the price comparison of something like this printed on vinyl to maybe plastisol transfers? I would have a generic design size to help reduce the costs.
Is this something that I realistically could get outsourced? As previously mentioned the outlay for the machine etc would far outway my return costs.
Thanks

Re: Anyone print onto clothing vinyl?
if you get enough designs to fill 1 meter of vinyl then this make a sense.

Any idea what is a good price to be charged for 1 metre of printed vinyl? With regards to having enough designs for that, how would I work that out?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Anyone print onto clothing vinyl?
Costing depends on width of the vinyl and the size of the logo, and the number of each logo you are printing. Printing is only a small part of the final cost.
If you get 50 small logos out of a metre that is 5 times as much pressing time as 10 large logos. If you charge by area used then you wil be working much harderprinting small logos, so the price must reflect this.
Every design takes the same set up time if you print one or fifty copies. You need to charge more for small quantities.

Re: Anyone print onto clothing vinyl?
Oh ok, I was just wondering what the approximate going rate was. I was going to factor in the cost of each item printed and not the time to press as I have factored that in with the overall design.
Can anyone give me a rough price for what they would charge for this? (Supplying the printed vinyl only) thanks

If you are adding a crown or a bow to a design, you could just layer it ontop in a different colour vinyl. Be aware that some colours are not suitable for layering, but this will be shown by the supplier.
