Cardboard Jigsaw

HI, I've had some A4 cardboard jigsaws for some time and have printed one today and whilst the image is clear, the pieces don't want to come apart ! When I've used a little pressure to separate them, the cardboard lamination is separating.


I admit I kind of guessed how long to press them for, so if anyone could give me an idea of what timings and temperatures they use, I'd be grateful.

I did quite a few of these (from The Transfer Press) and believe I used settings much the same as you have posted Gary and got excellent results. They all separated without issue.

These puzzles do retain a LOT of moisture though and I used a couple of sheets of kitchen roll and a couple of sheets of copy paper when pressing them.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll give it another go. It printed really well and vibrant, but just couldn't get the things apart.

I did one today for the first time as well as some coasters also from Transfer Press and they came out a treat on same settings as Webtrekker and Gary.

Yeah, they're an easy item to make. They're also small enough (when broken up), and cheap enough, to be stuffed in a printed mug as an extra selling point.

Thanks everyone, the next one I printed worked well. I normally refer to my list of timings, but couldn't find it so did my best guess. I think I overcooked it.

Anyway, used the advice from you all and it's worked fine. Thanks again
