Re: Carrier for 5o mugs

Post by raydavies »

I have a potential order for 50 mugs. Looking at carriers, it seems DPD won't take china but Parcel Farce do but at double the price (2 parcels @ £21.60 per parcel!

Do I lie and take a chance with DPD? Any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks,

Ray

Surely, they'll take it, but you won't be covered for breakages?
Look at somewhere like Parcelbroker for quotes.
Also, Parcelforce will take up to 30kg in one box, so you would only need one shipment with them, but £20 is four times the price you should be paying.

DPD indeed take mugs. Parcel Force will be £9.66 for up to 25kg via Parcel2Go.com if you package two boxes together into one.

There's also the Parcel Monkey comparison service who will give you the cheapest quote. Parcelforce usually comes up trumps for best price and collection from your premises on the same day if necessary.

I ship all my mugs using DPD.

They are by far the safest ones to use. They will take mugs, but like UK PRINTED MUGS has said, they will not insure them. You need to pack them very well. There are a few ways of doing this, but I have found double boxing to be the best in terms of arriving safely.
