Hi All,

I have a Ricco Afiicio sg2100n, i'm using inks from a member on this site and also using the profile he supplied with the inks.
when doing sublimation printing for mugs if I design something in photoshop etc or use downloaded logo's etc the prints look spot on the problem is when i'm trying to print a photograph the colours come out dark and orangy
I think i've managed to add acouple of images to show what I mean
Any ideas you lovely lot ???

It may be the profile, but another thing is that Photoshop does not always print what you see on your monitor. Your monitor itself may need profiling, or try experimenting with desaturating red, green or blue, or altering other settings such as brightness, levels, etc before printing and, once you have a decent print, use those settings for subsequent prints.

My Photoshop tends to print things darker than on the monitor so I always up my brightness level by around 30% before printing.

Just on the off-chance -

You have set the print settings to manage colours from Photoshop and not the printer have you?

Great. A little tip: once you have decided on saturation brightness levels, etc that give you the best output, make a new document with one of your photos in and add Adjustment Layers above the photo layer to adjust the required effects. Save the document, then you can use it as a template for later prints simply by placing your new image below the adjustment layers. Saves you having to alter them each time.
