Re: Website Hosting

Post by mrs maggot »

At the moment I have been using Servage - and they are utter shite, I use prestashop, so ideally I need something that will work with that, as I really don't think I am up to learning something else at the moment.

SSL cert needed as well, I know a lot of those are shared on some of the cheaper sites, but interested to hear what others have, and how they get on with it.

thanks

I used Vidahost.com have done for years. Don't remember having any downtime, site comes up quickly. I have an SSL certificate purchased via them which they installed for me. Very happy with them. They also move your site over for you free of charge if I remember correctly.

all moved over at the weekend, a couple of little niggles, but wonderful to be away from servage - I cannot wait to let them know I will not be renewing ever again. We went with Vida in the end, as we used a friends referral scheme, and like you she has been with them from the start, we moved the site over ourselves, and the SSL is all sorted. few more prestashop bits to sort, but at least we are moved.

Hum, talk to a human, a novel idea, but doubt very much that it will catch on. Where do they get humans from I wonder????

If it helps at all, I also do web hosting. Controlled via cPanel with Prestashop installer and 256-bit SSL (powered by Let's Encrypt) included as standard.

Krystal are good.

123reg, Webfusion, Heart, Host Europe, GoDaddy as far as I'm aware are all interconnected so more than likely the same datacentre.
