Please select 1 or more (Let me know if I've missed off any obvious ones!)

I voted "FireFox" but I use the Portable version off an SD card. So much more convenient than an installed one - and it's for that reason I abandoned IE.

I keep IE on my PC as on a very rare occasion I can't run something with my preffered broswer, K-Meleon (usually a banking application!) On the whole I find it so much quicker and more reliable.

I've also just ditched Outlook in favour of Thunderbird, going well thus far.

If you're using Thunderbird, I'd recommend ThunderbirdPortable from PortableApps.com.

You don't need to install it and it runs from a self-contained folder, making it very easy to back up. I run it off an SD card so that, if I need to use someone else's computer, I can slot the SD card in and it feels like I'm using the same app with all my emails and settings as they are on my regular computer.

There are lots of apps that can be used like that. Makes it very useful if your computer takes a day off or you need to wipe it for whatever reason - your apps don't need to be reinstalled once you get back up and running because they run off the SD card (or USB drive, or whatever).

(I don't work for PortableApps, nor am I affiliated with them, I just find the idea of not being tied to a specific computer very liberating!)

I've just changed (again) from internet explorer to firefox as I was unable to view my own website as others could see it and it was set out completey different. When I called freestart to ask them why the text was at the bottom of the page and the pictures on the left when I had not placed them there he told me to switch back to firefox so I did and all was ok..

Ouch! That's not what a website designer is supposed to say...

When I used to do websites, one of the key challenges was to make the sites cross-browser compatible. In those days it was Netscape vs IE mainly. Today it's IE vs Firefox. Compared to the "bad old days", it's easier these days (just don't use fancy code). I try to make sure my websites are "acceptable" in as many browsers as possible - whether that's Firefox, IE, or the browsers on my iPod Touch and PDA.

I think the current statistics are about 65% Internet Explorer, 25% Firefox. Are Freestart seriously suggesting that you tell a potential 65% of your customers to "switch to Firefox"? Because they won't.

Does seem very odd doesn't it ?
Stranger still it was only on my pc that it was viewed this way. Through another using internet ex it was ok.

These things are seriously way beyond me!

Although, as mentioned before, I use Firefox Portable, I've just started using Seamonkey (now that there's a portable version of it).

Initial experience suggests that it's slightly more smoother in running on my netbook than Firefox 3.5 Portable.

For those who don't know, underneath Seamonkey is pretty much the same as what you get from Firefox - even so far that some of the more useful plugins and extensions work. Unlike Firefox, which is a standalone browser, Seamonkey is a combined browser/email app. This makes it a little more lighter and less resource-hungry than running two apps (one for web, one for email) side by side.

I first ran across it when using Puppy Linux but, until recently, there wasn't a portable version for Windows so I haven't had chance to try it on Windows until now. Seems reasonable, though. Which one I stick with remains to be seen.

I use internet explorer, but since I know very little about browsers I always thought it was the only one. Wish I knew more about it,
