Re: Sublimation Ink cartridges for SG2100N
Hey everyone here, thanks a lot for having me on the forum. I'm new to the sublimation world and just bought my first ever printer (SG2100N) for the small printing business I wanna start here in Mali (Africa).
I'm actually looking for a supplier of sublimation ink cartridges that may send it over to me here. I've been searching on eBay but not much reliable suppliers I could find. I've already used forwarding services for UK and US purchases in the past but that would be quite expensive.
Do you know of any suppliers who can then ship them over via postal service?

For business use I'd rethink your choice of an SG2100N, they're not great sublimation printers, far better to upgrade to at least the SG3110 or maybe an Epson.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I've been told that its basically the same so as I couldn't find the SG3110 then I went for it. I could only find one supplier for ricoh printers in the whole country, I'd have to import it otherwise.webtrekker;130748 wrote:For business use I'd rethink your choice of an SG2100N, they're not great sublimation printers, far better to upgrade to at least the SG3110 or maybe an Epson.

My research suggests that the SG3110DN is basically just the SG2100N with an automatic duplex feature.
Technical specifications are identical - save for a slight difference in print speed (pages per minute) and power consumption. Both easily accreditable to the duplex feature.
It might be worth getting in contact with Ink Express. They do say on their website they might be able to deliver outside of the EU or USA.

Yes you are correct Forgetful8, why oh why people love the SG3110 so much over a SG2100. They are the SAME printer apart from the SG3110DN has the duplex unit on the back. They have the same printing head, same ink set, same mechanics every thing is the same.Forgetful8;130750 wrote:My research suggests that the SG3110DN is basically just the SG2100N with an automatic duplex feature.

The only reason SG3110DN is so popular is because Sawgrass used it and provided it with the powerdriver (which, don't get me wrong is a brilliant feature) but other than that they are the same printer.
We can deliver outside of the UK to most countries worldwide happy to look into shipping costs for you.

If they're the same printer then can you find any suppliers of the more popular 3110 cartridges in your country?

Yes. But no sub inks tough.webtrekker;131043 wrote:If they're the same printer then can you find any suppliers of the more popular 3110 cartridges in your country?
And the great benefit is that now we know all 3110 sub ink cartridges will also work with it.
