Hi
Thank you for letting me join your forum!
Im a stay at home mum down on the south coast near Portsmouth. I’m seriously thinking of starting up my own small scale printing business from homes live joined the forum for any tips and advice people may have. Seems like I’ve spent the last 2 weeks watching every clip available on YouTube to do with the sublimation process and watching the many different heat presses do their thing!
Im liking the idea of concentrating mainly on mugs, bags & cushions so if anyone wants to share their experience good or bad they’d I’d genuinely appreciate it!

Look forward to joining in some chats!
Jo 😀

Hi Jo.

My only recommendation at this point in time would be to carefully research the equipment you'll need before spending any money. Mugs can pe pressed in a mug press or 'cooked' in a halogen oven, both have their pro'a and con's.

For bags and cushions you'll need a flat heat press. You need to read up about them and decide first whether a swing-away or a clam press is your best option. I prefer swing-aways myself. You also need to decide what the maximum size of your prints will be, and this will determine the size of the printer you need (A4 or A3) and the size of heat press you need.

Sometimes it's best to buy good second-hand equipment rather than new, unknown brand stuff. You'll find loads of help in here.

Good luck.
