When I print A3 from photoshop theres quite a blank area around the image. I have made it as big as I can on the print preview. Is there anyway of getting the image closer to the edges of the paper?

This may be more to do with your printer/print driver than Photoshop - we can print full width (118cm) by metres on our wide format Epsons, and by metres long, and what we do in Photoshop is what comes out the printer.
