Re: DIY Electric Conveyer Belt

Found a few electric conveyers on FleaBay but wondered about the possibility of building one myself.

Anyone ever done this? I'm just after something around 6" belt width and 2/3 foot long. Only needs to be very light duty.

Appreciate any advice on if it's worth having a go!

Haha, good guess! I'm over engineering/thinking a solution to something that isn't really a problem!

I can see why you preferred the DIY approach though Justin ...

I've not seen that one, wow expensive! plus taxes etc! I know decent ones are expensive. The £300 one on eBay would probably work but at 6' long it's a bit too big.

The one you've shown is ideal. I've found smaller ones in the UK for around £200 but they just don't go quite wide enough.

I reckon you could easily mash one together using an old drill and a few bits from your local DIY store.

Brilliant, or you could just move it yourself 6 feet down the table!

There's sure to be some obscure Health & Safety or EU law against doing that Gary! :D

'Alexa, place the mug on the belt and move it down the table and fill every 100th mug with hot tea, two sugars. ' That's my preferred method!
