Re: Vinyl Logo Required ASAP - Sign Vinyl

Post by Justin »

I am looking for a single logo to be cut in black sign vinyl, size is 1100mm x 640mm. As this is a bit too big to go on a typical 24" cutter I am looking for someone to cut on a wider cutter please.

The logo could be separated into two sections and cut on a smaller cutter but we'd prefer it to be in one piece.

We will need it to have application film applied and it is going onto a smooth plywood surface. Customer wants to put several layers of varnish over the top. I'm 'told' this shouldn't be an issue but if you know different please let me know.

We'll be looking for another 12 logos to be supplied in the very near future if this one works out ok.

Local company have quoted me but knowing what sign vinyl costs and the work involved I'm a little reluctant to pay this. If cheap enough we can take all 13 logos now as we will need Royal Mail shipping to Shetland...please no couriers! lol.

If no one else comes forward I can do it for you.

I do not have black in stock so if you want, purchase the number of meters you need and have it sent to me. I will cut it and dispatch probably same day (happy to include any excess/left over).

Nominal charge to cover postage etc.

Sorry I cannot help, but applying the varnish over the top of the vinyl should be OK. I supplied some 5-7 year cut vinyl to my daughters Fiance, who applied it to plywood and varnished over the top. These were to be used for body builders lifting platforms and no problems have been reported so far!

If you are applying to plywood to be varnished over, wouldn't paint stencil film do a better job? Apply the stencil uising application tape, paint over or spray, remove and varnish.

This is actually got body builders platforms.

I did suggest stencil/spray but thought we'd get a crisper edge with vinyl.

I guess gloss would be fine? Do you have in wider size? Can you PM a price please?
