A decent authority (Justin) has told me these aren't up to much cop and out of date now superseded by the Studio range. Unfortunately i just purchased one 2nd hand off fleabay. Just wondered if anyone with any experience on how they are in use? I don't want to steepen my learning curve with what might be rubbish hardware!

If I was you I would give Adkins a call tomorrow and see if they still support it in terms of spare parts and repair otherwise not worth it unless this is a hobby for you of course.

Im just back from the UK where I took this very same mug press and my Maxi press to AAdkins to be serviced. Yes they have the parts. But, as Justin said, the Studio range is much better.

If you'd paid £50 I would have said give it a go but for what you paid you should be getting a much newer press....or a brand new press somewhere else.

You asked me if I thought this was a reasonable buy, you didn't say you'd bought it at that stage ;-) to which I responded no, I'm afraid not.

I stand by my opinion and advice, you've bought it so have a go with it and it may work out for you, if it doesn't work out you're back on FleaBay.
