Re: Plastisol transfers?

Post by paul 44 »

Hi folks,

I might have a big job on which involves printing 70 names onto the back of over 100 t shirts, obviously the names are going to be pretty small so vinyl is out of the question as I'd be here till the end of time weeding them out

The shirts are 100% cotton and light grey in colour so was looking for a respected supplier of platisol transfers (at a decent price haha) as my local commercial printer dosen't do it.
The names will be one colour I believe, not sure whether the sizing is A4 or A3 as yet but thought i'd put the feelers out!

Cheers

if all the names are different, then stick to vinyl as I believe there is set up costs and minimums etc. Should not take you that long to weed 70 names. It will be a lot cheaper aswell. Try heat seal transfers for plastisols,

Am assuming all 70 names are done in the school leavers style so one design x 100. Someone like Target Transfers would be worth getting a price from. Probably will be costed on an A3 so you double up the design as 2 A4's if needed.

Speak to David Tywcross at Graphiscreen and tell him Justin at Print Shetland sent you. He has a set price list for transfers. Quality and service with these guys is second to none (and i don't say that often!)

Ill second that about David Tywcross. I have his price list and just looked at it. For what you want his price is a no brainer. Not worth you weeding it for the price he will offer you.
