Re: Is this oven worth buying?

Post by vert »

So I am a total newbie, but have been reading this forum for a while and think that my plan of action will be as follows...

Buy this oven > https://www.robertdyas.co.uk/daewoo-hal ... gKIU_D_BwE

Buy a Ricoh printer

Use bone china 11oz mugs

Use those green wraps for max coverage

remove wraps once done, and leave to cool (don't dip)

Does that all sound like a good starting set up????

Any advice most appreciated

If you do, you will find you will need to buy an extenion ring later!!

It says it comes with a...

  • 5 Litre pot extender
I'm guessing that's their terminology for an extension ring?

Hi,

It looks OK to me, (very similar to the oven i have from Maplin)

The features I was looking for, that your suggested oven also has, 1300W, Extender ring and bottom rack, the timer is allso useful

Who's ink do you have in mind for the Ricoh printer

I just placed an order for the Robert Dyas (https://www.robertdyas.co.uk/daewoo-hal ... l-capacity) halogen oven that @vert found. Seems to be the cheapest around that comes with an extension ring. I also got an extra £5 off by searching for a promo code and finding one at: https://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/robertdyas.co.uk

I have always used Sawgrass inks in my Ricoh printer, the ink and printer produced good results on my very 1st mug in my mug press, by far not the cheapest option, it worked for me and I've stayed with the setup

Now I've started to to use a Halogen oven for design flexability

@Gaz - yeah - just saw that. They call them an "Air Fryer". It has an extension ring though. https://www.aldi.co.uk/ambiano-2-in-1-a ... 6187809800

That's the one - we never use the extension ring as we always stick to Orca Durham 10 / 11 oz so does the job great for us!
