Just had "Ink pad nearing end of servicable life" come up. Strange thing is I fitted an external waste tank 12 months ago which has been working great.

What do I need to do now??

I have googled it but cant seem to find much on the 1500W

Google it under 1430 Artisan, and you might find more information.
I had the same problem with my 1400, and eventually it stopped working, until I got hold of the reset utility software. Can't remember where I got it from, but it works fine now.
You should be able to download the SSC utility free online, or some of the ink retailers will sell you on for about a fiver.

I think you will find that the reset utility actually costs for this nmachine. It is only £9.99 I think, well it was the last time I used it.

But, if anyone knows of a free one, let us in on the secret!!

I use WIC RESET which has always worked for me.

You need to download their software which I did and it worked fine (Windows 7). I have been using it for a good few months and there are no reports of any virus etc.

I think they may even provide the first reset free of charge, after that you do have to buy them at about £9.99 each (discounts for the more you buy), they have a link in their software on how to purchase.

My advice, follow the instructions EXACTLY and it works perfectly, if you do not it will not work.
