Re: Epson printer with white ink

Post by Bob700 »

Hi
While on holiday a few weeks ago I walked into a T shirt printers the guy had a big Epson printer with large clear plastic cartridges protruding from it on either side and one side it looked like white ink. His T shirts were mainly black and were all on the wall so I couldn't tell if they were Sub or cotton I tried to ask the guy but got nowhere, does anyone know the printing system and if it was sub or cotton

Thanks Bob

I wouldn't have mentioned sublimation to him...bit of a giveaway! Hey, are your t shirts polyester or cotton mate? Will it come off in the wash? Will the design crack eventually? That kind of thing sounding like Joe Blogs t shirt buyer.

In that case it was probably a DIRECT TO GARMENT printer.

Epson sell them and yes most of them these days come with white ink.

Not sure how good the Epson is compared to others as it is not my field.

Its probably a DTG. I had one once, the Neo, and it was a converted Epson.
