Graphtec CE6000 to Print & Cut

The standard usable width of a BN20 is up to 480mm not 460mm so only 10mm either side which isn't unusual for a cutter or printer so it wastes very little. It can also take various sizes going down from 480mm too so you can ask to have your rolls cut to differing widths to suit that or if your using it for textile cutting or printing then most media comes in 500mm wide which is perfect. It also prints on banner material and canvas and can handle most medias that other printer cutters can. I've been really impressed with the quality and capacity, it's paid for itself many times over in less that a couple of years. I initially thought I'd only carry printable vinyls but have found that I've collected a huge range of colours of vinyl for textile and signage including glitter vinyls too so it means I can produce just about anything I'm asked to do (bar embroider with it!)

no no you not correct. you put media in 500mm wide you only print/cut 460/468mm you no able to use 480mm if put in 500mm if move pinch out you get little bit more but risk collision

Can you see the print area listed here of 479mm wide?

so you math it 479 @ 104% when it printed at 100 it only gunna be 460, you see try and ruler it I rite you no rite

only way you get more is not fit gides tight then media walk about come loose maybe you collision much cost you head

I got roland 20 i now much not can be used in bin cost lot and lot infront of job also in bin but good work donkey bit slow but i know mind that

The 104% is not relevant, that is simply the file size I increased +4% to use the maximum width available which on this job was 479mm. It will depend how you load your media and operate your machine but yes all machines have rollers and guides (if fitted) which use the edge of the media to roll it back and fourth for printing and/or cutting. That is where 500mm-480mm = 20mm so 10mm a side for the rollers.

Thanks all, ive decided to get the graphtec next week as i need to upgrade my cutter anyway, the will go to P&P at the NEC in jan to have a nosey

Good cutter choice, p&p is somewhere we go too, great for putting names to faces both from here and suppliers. Often deals to be had too.

Sorry but what printer did you get or have in mind to get for this cutter?
