Ok my d120 has now packed up completely .. I need another printer asap I had all the bulk ink set up with it. Can Any one advise me if this ink system will just fit onto another Epsom printer save me buying all new ink too, if so which printers are compatible and where can I purchase one .. I have orders outstanding that I need to get done

The D120 uses 5 cartridges and the EasyFlow system won't be compatible with a new printer as the cartridges will be different. You have a few choices:
(1) Use the existing bulk feed system and buy a new cartridge and tube assembly for a B1100 printer which will connect to the bottle system you have now (cost around £50 +vat) and buy a new Epson B1100 printer. This will give you a new A3/A3+ printing package.
(2) Buy a new Epson A4 printer (the B40W) with a new EasyFlow system and keep the inks you have to top up at a later date (more expensive than (1) above!)
(3) Ditch everything and buy a new Ricoh Printer (probably slightly more expensive than (1) above and you have to throw inks away - or sell to someone on here).

It's a sad fact that there is no supported upgrade option when a printer is discontinued. We pretty much have to throw out the baby (CISS) with the bathwater (printer).

I'm in the process of trying out printer options here and I've been using refillable cartridges - an option that isn't available from a supported supplier, so you take your own risk.

I have refillable cartridges in my B40W from here: [url="https://www.printercartridges.net/print ... ts_id=1272]https://www.printercartridges.net/print ... ts_id=1272[/url] The advantage is that the cartridges for the B40W are identical to the ones you would use in a B1100 - so, if you later decide to upgrade to an A3 printer, you can use the same cartridges. Note that this is not an option when you go for a supported CISS (the B1100 Easyflow and the B40W Easyflow is not interchangeable in the way that the unsupported refillable cartridges are).

I'm also using refillables in my R1400 because I haven't wanted to take my supported Easyflow CISS out of the older printer and there's no way of buying a part-filled Easyflow system when you're setting up a backup printer. Refillable cartridges in a R1400 can also be used in the cheaper P50 but you won't find any Artanium ICC profile or support for the P50.

It should be stressed that all of this is not the suppliers fault - they can only sell what Sawgrass let them sell and we have to make sacrifices in order to be supported. However, if you've bought Artanium inks from a supplier in the past, you should be able to get a new ICC profile from them for whichever printer you go for if it's one of the "supported" printers (B40W, B1100, or R1400).

You could, effectively, be up and running with a £100 B40W and £14 worth of refillable cartridges, but you won't be able to buy them from an authorised Sawgrass reseller so you won't get the support you that might otherwise get if you spent a few hundred pounds on a new printer, a new CISS, and a new haul of ink.

The choice is yours.

Additionally - according to the Epson website, the D120 printer uses the same "Cheetah inks" as the B40W. The difference being that the D120 uses two black lines while the B40W uses just one.

It may be feasible to cap off the extra black line from your D120 CISS and use just the four lines (CMYK) that the B40W requires. I have no idea if this would work, but it might be worth you getting a B40W in and trying it out. If it doesn't work, you can still go for the option of a new Easyflow or refillable cartridges.

If you do try it out, and if it does work, post here to let everyone else know. I'm sure there are a load of people out there who don't want to chuck out their working CISS just because their printer's been discontinued.

to be honest i have only just started this little business that would would do me for a while

Also is there any way of doing the printing on mugs and water bottles without sublimation ink and a sub printer.

Try Coralgraph, they're members here. I've had several sets of refil. carts and never had a problem. Bought a few sets off eBay in the past with mixed results.

dont suppose anyone knows the answer to the mugs and water bottles without the need to sublimation do they ?

You'll need sublimation to print the bottles unless you're doing enough to outsource. Not sure if any other processes available, i.e. Magic Touch papers etc. but Sublimation would prob. be the cheapest.
