Edit Jpeg for contour cut

Seem to be having problems editing and converting jpeg files to contour cut, anybody have a simple solution?

you got corel, - need to trace outline and put hairline around

You can only contour cut a vector outline. As logobear says, you need to convert your jpg to an svg using Corel, Illustrator, etc. I use VectorMagic desktop version, and they have a free online version.

Hi logo yes i have got corel but not sure on how to put an hairline round it?

Hi webtrekker I tried using vector magic but there is a charge for down loading

I have photoshop and corel draw but every time i trace the image

In Corel .Use the Freehand(F5) or Bezier tool. Click around the image where you want the outline and then shape it by using the shape tool (F10). And there you will have your outline. Save in whatever format your cutter needs. Easy when you know how.

in Corel duplicate.
center both to page.
cut 1 copy out
- outline trace in 1 colour - remove fill and hairline outline in roland pink
paste back original - all line up.
export as EPS

Wow, that's a really slow way to do things! For contour cutting you really need software that will auto-trace the outlines, as mentioned before.

Is there any you tube video or any info that can guide me through this method?

All seems ok just the small letters have slight jagged edges

Is there any software or cutter that has built in software so when i attach the jpeg it will trace automatically

just an alternative
