If you are a business seller, then your contact details are in your shop details - or at least mine are

Re: eBay product purge has begun - no more contact information
Not for long! Apparently eBay support told me they are going to remove the contact details at the bottom of the listing and move them somewhere else but not on a product page.
Re: eBay product purge has begun - no more contact information
At present yes, but a lot of customers don't bother to look there, in fact they often don't bother to look at the contact details in the body of the listing either, but hey ho, as I said I am sure eBay are going to end up just like Amazon!

Re: eBay product purge has begun - no more contact information
Just to say we have changed all our listings to remove email and telephone numbers but left the details in the confirmation email after purchase. So far orders are still coming in although we have seen about a 25% rise in "how do we send you the photo?" questions.

Re: eBay product purge has begun - no more contact information
eBay will exclude products with contact information in images sadly - https://tamebay.com/2017/06/clarificati ... ay-uk.html
It seems today is the first day that contact information has been removed from listing and just trying to work out where it is as it is UK law to have it somewhere.

Did you have emails telling you they have (not magnanimously) backed down on the watermark issue?

Re: eBay product purge has begun - no more contact information
ebay have now gone back on it and are not abolishing watermarkswebtrekker;126209 wrote:And add to that the forthcoming abolition of watermarks on your images. We've had competitors blatantly copying our listing product images and our descriptions, word for word. I had to design a whole new set of images to replace them and made sure they were watermarked.
Ebay is taking many backward steps now and are rapidly becoming even more seller-unfriendly.

In the ebay Q & A they stated that if anyone put a phone number or email in a photo they would give them a 7 day ban, be careful !James990;126219 wrote:I have been putting an extra picture on my listings with my contatc details, so wonder if they try to get me to remove that?

Re: eBay product purge has begun - no more contact information
Would they not notify the seller first and give them a chance to remove the offending image, or would it be an automatic ban?viccar1;128248 wrote:In the ebay Q & A they stated that if anyone put a phone number or email in a photo they would give them a 7 day ban, be careful !
