Printing onto a t' shirt that already has a sub print on it.

Hi All,
I've had a customer supply some poly shirts which are already printed using what looks like dye sub ink (image attached of something similar).
I need to be able to print these for a hen night - I don't have any spares so asking info on what others would do.
The print will probably be just text, so either vinyl or dye sub would suit - any ideas folks of best route and what will happen to the image already on the shirts if I used dye sub?

I would have a look at the vinyls that press at a lower heat, this way it should not affect the sublimation.

Id agree, pick a low temperature 120 degree quick press 5 second vinyl

Use a raised pad which covers the size of the print and subbing it is what I would do.

There should be little or no effect. I have printed onto sub printed cycle jerseys in the past at 160c/15secs without problems. The temp is at the bottom of the sublimation range and the time is short so there will be very little gassing.
Just inform the customer that there might be a slight discolouration and use a pillow to reduce any unnecessary contact area.

The text in the image was added to an all over print.

If you try to sublimate onto these garments you might run into problems. The temperature will obviously be much higher and the time longer.
