Galaxy Air 4in1 GS-204 Pneumatic Mug Press
Re: Galaxy Air 4in1 GS-204 Pneumatic Mug Press
We bought one of these beasties today: eBay Link
We went for a demo first at Signzworld. I wanted to see one in action before shelling out a grand. I was very impressed. It does need a compressor of around 24L so not a huge one.
If you do large volumes like we do, this has been the first viable solution I've seen. The Coralgraph5 was absolute rubbish, but hey it was cheap!
We got it back to the office and got it set up in a few minutes. It helps if you have used compressors before. So far, pretty excellent. I will of course update as we go on.

Anyone got this and recommend?
Looking ahead to the festive period this could be an investment.

Hi guys! Sorry but I wanted to give a proper assessment as I had extreme high hopes for this press.
I bought one and a compressor. Unfortunately it had hot spots on a number of the elements that lead to browning in weird places. Then an air hose became detached inside the unit that meant untold hissing and no pressure. We got a replacement unit.
Yay unit number two. OK for 2 days then cool (not hot) spots on some elements meaning faded patches. After 3 days it exploded. I am not joking and just I am happy that no-one was injured. Still waiting for a refund.... I have the explosion on CCTV and can post if anyone is especally sadistic

Yeah let us see an exploding Galaxy press, that's an absolute disgrace, I would be contacting Trading Standards.

Wow!
Thanks for the heads up Annie, we were going to buy 3 of these and air compressor on Monday. That has saved us some money and a whole lot of bother by the sounds of it.
Would be good to see the CCTV also, that is very concerning. Thanks once again, see, without the forum we'd of bought that and now have a burnt down studio lol.

oh my word Annie, how terrible, I would agree trading standards, and whatever you do make sure the CCTV is saved somewhere, imagine if someone did not have CCTV you can just see SW saying "impossible" and trying to get out of it.

Sorry it took me ages to find an editor to trim the file size. Look at the 18 second mark.

My word, Annie.
That is bad, and could've been a lot worse. Did you get anything out of said company?

It could have been disastrous if he had been leaning over the press when it blew.
I eventually got a refund after repeatedly asking... but it took them far too long. The problem was that I paid by debit card and collected the first unit after the demo. They wanted to surcharge for using a credit card.
Because i didn’t buy it online I can’t even leave a product review. I broke my own rules about making a significant purchase with a debit card unless I know the supplier well.
