As I said on another post about the Galaxy. If you are small like me 5' then you'll not reach the handle if the press is on the desk. I had to buy a lower chest of drawers to save me jumping up each time I wanted to reach the handle haha

Cheers for this Tricia, It looks like that could work, may have to get a cheap one and have a play.

Being tall dark and handsome I obviously do not have that problem

I'm probably the only short a*** here lol I like the Galaxy press but I don't do anywhere near the volume of printing that you do so can't say how it would work with your thousands of hi viz vests.

Yeah, I doubt it will last that long, but will probably be good enough for me to test. If my idea works and makes everything that wee bit quicker then I will probably look at getting something like a Presmech and some custom platens.

Thanks for all your help

What was that? Tall, and in the dark you're handsome?  Sounds a lot like myself!

Don't know if it helps, but this is the swing-away press I use from Heat Presses Direct -

Cheers Webtrekker, that has the same problem as my Adkins in that the bolt is in the middle of the platen which means that anything underneath can not go further than the middle.

Pressmechs are awesome - I saw a demo of one and it was insanely good. Bit out my price range yet as just starting out but I'm defnitely buying one of these bad boys

I wish Pressmech would do a a little A4 version. I have a heat press for every product to save me changing pressure and times.
