Re: Which 5 head mug press to go for?

Post by DAVID DAVID »

Hi Guys,

First post so take it easy on me!

We're a promo company but have been printing mugs and tshirts for about a year now and the orders (and my confidence) are starting to get bigger.

Currently we have 2 standard mug presses (BJ900's) but the time taken to print is a bit too long as we go into our busy season. So I was thinking of getting a 5 head press - The Corelgraph 5 header and Signzworld Blue wave MP105 (x5) have both been recommended to me.

Does anyone have experience or feedback of either of these machines or could recommend a tried & tested alternative?

Any help would be really appreciated :D

I now if companies using the blue wave and get on very well. That said, I'm not sure if there are two companies using that name. Signzworld usually sell cheaper presses and I've seen blue wave outside the uk that look different.

Personally I think all multi head presses are useless other than the twin head Adkins. I'd setup a bank of single head presses if I were you.

Don't go near the Coralgraph5. We had problems even getting scrap value for that piece of rubbish.

Hi Guys thanks for the replies! After reading your responses and some other posts on the forum I've just bought another three adkins presses - The pneumatic press was very tempting, but I thought better the devil you know!

Did you buy direct from Xpres? If you'd been a Premium Member you'd have got a discount :-(
