Re: query re time

This maybe a stupid question but once you have printed your sub, is there a time limit of when you have to press it onto th emugs or can it be left for later.
Also, having problems with the temperature-as soon as I place a mug in to press the temp drops quite rapidly, can you put th emugs in a microwave at all to warm them a little before putting in the mug press?

Don't tell the Mrs though!

Yes you can print your sheets and leave for a while - no need to heat your mugs as the drop in temp is natural on a mug press as the mug is always colder than the blanket.

I only slightly warm my mug in the winter as my unit is freezing as it doesn't have any heating so the mugs are really cold.

My box of mugs/banks/ceramics are sat in front of the radiator in the room I use for doing my printing in

And at this time of year, the heating is on constantly

I do that for anything that I know doesn't like extreme shocks (plates, black mugs, El Grandes, etc). I put the box near the radiators, get funny looks from everyone else who think they deserve a bit of the heat, and line mugs across the top of the radiators when I have a print run going.

It's all about limiting the shock to the items.
