Re: UK based supplier/copier thread

Post by willd »

I recently read a thread on here about a UK supplier copying and selling others' designs.

Not been on here for a few days, and now I can't find it - has it been deleted?

Thanks,

Will.

Hi Will, yes this thread has had to be removed I'm afraid.

Why was it removed Justin? Did Longforte threaten legal action or something?

Thanks for update and I do understand your position.

So just to confirm......... nobody should call Jay a back stabbing little shit....... or make out that Longforte are in anyway thieving, fraudulent, untrustworthy tossers, who will happily rip of their customers, whilst using that customer to gain more buying power for their blanks etc. Is that the type of thing that has been requested just so I know not to say the wrong thing?

I will also make sure I don't call Jay from Longforte a two faced bellend. That would be wrong for such an upfront guy.

Longforte discount code no longer working, so I guess they've cut ties with DSF and withdrawn any sponsorship/advertising on the forum too.

It does concern me that this forum should be impartial, but every now and again, in the past Sawgrass, and now Longforte, seem to have a control over what can/can't be posted, and entire threads are deleted, sometimes to the detriment of knowledge of forum members/users.

Yes. I've posted an update to that effect in the private section.

I take the decisions over whether posts are removed, this is not under any suppliers control.

The only times SG related posts were removed was when discussions were made regarding patents.

Their Chinese blanks can be bought from any of the other suppliers anyhow or direct from BestSub or Sunfly etc. Why support a supplier who operate a massive drop shipping business and have stores competing against us online?

Here is another one of Jay of Longforte's trademarks Mug n Kisses:
