Never had a problem so to speak with our 1500W since new 18 months ago. I have done a nozzle check and all are 100% but still getting horizontal banding. Any ideas anyone?

Could be a hair "stuck" to the print head. You would be surprised how much interference a small piece of hair can cause.

Grab a can of compressed air (Poundworld sell it) and give the internal gubbings a good blast.

That might help.

Hi SG. Thanks. Good idea. Dont suppose it would hurt doing it periodically either to keep it all clean

I get horizontal banding with my 1500 when the room is too hot. My printer is in the same room as heat press and if the press has been on for long making the room very hot, the horizontal banding starts but then stops as soon as the room is cooler.

Ive been thinking about going back to normal carts for a while to be honest. But the heat idea seems to be right. When its hot in the studio I get bands. Cool and no bands.

Yeah in this heat mine keeps drying up any technical suggestions to stop this. I have networked it and placed in the spare room where it is cooler but as i only use it 3/4 times a week it still happens ... frustrating
