So in general this gave me a few issues initially, nothing education didn't get me through. Then I got an issue where I was getting no blue through at all. I emptied the pipes and tanks and set it all up again, still the same.
City ink said they thought it was the cart itself, sent me a new one, changer the cart, reprimed and its generally been great until today.
The printer won't recognise B and M, I've tried all manner of combinations with regards to taking cart out or back in, reset button, powering down, everything. Still get this error.
Of course, just on the day we start a big chopping board order.
I've come to the realisation that there's a lot of money to be saved going down the cis epson route but the downside being maintenance and upkeep of daft little issues that are an absolute pain in the arse at their peak.
I'm considering just ditching it altogether and buying a sawgrass but I'm conscious of replacement ink cart costs and the volume of prints I'll get on it vs the obvious positivity of volume on the cis.
Any help, as always, would be greatly appreciated.
Got an Epson Wf7110 with Cis. Need more reliability or alternative.

Refillable carts. That's what I dumped my CIS for. Has the advantage of enabling you to buy bulk ink without the ups and downs of CIS.

Buy a Ricoh setup if you want reliability.

I think that's where I'm going to go with this, is refillable carts a good option with ricoh / sawgrass of Best just to buy the carts as and when needed?Justin;123450 wrote:Buy a Ricoh setup if you want reliability.

It's NOT an option. You're stuck with just buying carts with Sawgrass. CIE and others sell ink in bottles for refilling.IrishPrint;123454 wrote:I think that's where I'm going to go with this, is refillable carts a good option with ricoh / sawgrass of Best just to buy the carts as and when needed?

Sawgrass option is sealed carts. Yes refil carts with inks are available but I'd advise against this option at your stage. Subli splash through dyesubsupplies also an option.
