Change cutter? Didn't you use a punch by fiskars or am i confused? Toying with either ebadges or blankbadge at the moment, around 38mm probably, idea is getting our little ones interested in doing a few and inspire themselves (slave labour basically)

We bought a fiskars 50mm punch, which broke after a while of use. TBH I thought someone had dropped it and didn't want to confess as previous Fiskars product I have used has always been excellent. So I bought another. This has now started not cutting properly so I am thinking at £15 each that's £30 gone already. The £80 punch sold by blankbadges suddenly looks not so bad if it is up to the job more.

My 9 year old daughter does like making some. She tried to get me to let her make some for pocket money so that could work lol

Thats the plan our lads 9 and wanting to run an online T shirt shop, he started building the site! Anyway figured he should start with badges - Did you look or consider the ebadges.co.uk ones or why did you choose blankbadge?

I had a look at a few options. The keen thing for me was I wanted to do fridge magnets too, and a lot of the other components for this didn't look as good. For example if you look at ebadges 38mm fridge magnet it looks like a badge with a magnet stuck on the back, because thats what it is. If you look at the same thing on blankbadge's site its a solid flush black backing that looks the parts.

Yes i noticed that too on the ebadges but one thing that appealed was the ability to swap press sizes in same machine however the 3 models was making me scratch my head, how could one be faster than another

No, I don't have one, as you said the moulds are pricey.
Although I should imagine there's more profit in rectangular fridge magnets and ID badges than the usual round button badges.

My in-laws had an expensive one years ago which had inter changeable parts and it was a bit of pain. I figured we would go with 38mm and see what happens. It paid for itself in the first month or two so if we want to do other sizes I'll probable just get one of the other sized machines. Then if 1 goes wrong its still not the end of the world. There doesn't seem to be much that can go wrong though (touch wood) unless you drop it or something of course.

I am temped to get a rectangular one though. Trouble is I am tempted by too many things at the moment.
