Hello all, this is driving me mad. All was fine yesterday up to a point then this...
It has happened before and I messed with my printer settings to fix it but can't for the life of me remember what I did.
The image above is the print on the paper before being sublimated. My printer is the Ricoh 3110dn.
Any advice would be welcome

Are you using Sawgrass inks and their power driver or other inks and an ICC profile?
Are you sure you haven't mistakenly loaded the wrong paper?

Hi Webtrekker, I'm using refillable ink cartridges and the ICC profile that came with the printer. I've been using the same paper, inks, printer combo from the start and all was going fine. I've just tried the paper the other way just in case and the print is better but very bright which tells me I had it right in the first place and sub papers normally dull the colours prior to print. It also came out like this on a mug but the problem is definitely on the printer/setup side as it is there prior to sublimating. The ink appears wetter than normal too :frown: I think I may have to unistalll and reinstall the drivers in case something has corrupted in there somehow.
I've just thought, I noticed my paper input settings in printer preferences is plain inkjet paper - is this the right one? Might have another check before going through the hassle of installation.

Ok, feeling a bit silly now
After being so convinced about the paper......I decided to turn the paper over in the tray which has been in for a couple of weeks!) and problem solved
It must have been upside down halfway down the paper stack I put in - I do wish there was some sort of mark on the wrong side so I know lol.
Thanks for nudging me to look at my paper webtrekker, I always thought that inks wouldn't print on the mug if the paper is the wrong way round but know I know different. So glad I didn't redo the drivers and profile

Glad it's sorted.
BTW, you say your paper settings are 'plain inkjet paper.' I've just checked and mine are set to just 'plain.' Don't know if that will make a difference to your printouts. As you say, if everything seems fine now then it's probably best just to leave things as they are.
