Sublimate PU Leather
Re: Sublimate PU Leather
We would like to produce products ourselves and need your help. Which artificial leather is to be used for the sublimation printing. Do I have to pay attention to what?

Am also interested to hear this. I might buy some cheap things and just try it!
Re: Sublimate PU Leather
Trialled this several years ago on synthetic leather but the couple I tried back then shrunk under the heat. All the current blanks with this type of material have a board type backing which it is stitched to so might restrict uses. Possibly clamping the material in place might help.
As far as material is concerned, suppliers of Picta leather I am sure could help but would be costly. Trial and error of readily available roll material might be worth a go especially as you can also get coating sprays depending on what you want to create.

Re: Sublimate PU Leather
Just thinking on my past printing, shrinkage might have been real leather more than synthetic. I remember the shape going a bit on synthetic but the real leather ended up about a 3rd of the size.
Was many years ago and my memory is not great. Back in them days, if it didn't move I would try and print it. Think the dog was even frightened of going to sleep for to long.
