Can anyone please tell me which ovens can press a lot of mugs quickly, that aren't too expensive?

Have had an enquiry for over 150 mugs. A member of the forum told me me a while back that in an oven they can press approx 100 mugs per hour. They advised me to steer clear of Halogen ovens, but I can't remember what type of oven they used.

I've had a look on the forum today, and I've spotted posts in that people have said that table top ovens take a long time (6-12 mugs per hour). Yet I'm sure that someone once told me that they use a table top oven and can press lots in an hour .

A bit confused.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The ST3042 does 12 mugs every 15-18 minutes (depending on materials etc). So 100 mugs will take you just over 2 hours.

Cost around £300-500

If you want new, then I recommend the Listawood mug oven. This will do the same volume approx and is about £1500 plus VAT I think. Anything more substantial than that will run into thousands....

Thanks Socialgiraffe.

Your advice is much appreciated.

That's a lot of mugs in a short space of time .

Sadly, this is out of price range at present.

I don't suppose there's anything else that can press a lot of mugs in a short space of time, until can afford one of those?

On a smaller scale, does anyone have any experiences to share about halogen ovens (JML type etc) that take maybe 4 mugs? Can they produce full top to bottom wraps, and how long is the average operating cycle?

Assuming a cycle of around 20mins, that would be 12 mugs an hour, so could take about 1 1/2 days to produce 150 mugs, which doesn't seem bad for someone just starting out. It would be nice to know how reliable they are though and whether the print quality was good and constant across the whole batch.

Yeah, I'm too lazy and couldn't be ar$*d to make a new thread!

I'd rather aim small and hit my target than aim for something even NASA would have difficulty hitting!

Good luck in your quest though.

Now THERE'S an idea for a mug!

Getting back to the oven idea, what wraps are the best to use in them? (I mean the halogen ovens and not the vacuum ovens like the ST3042).

. I don't know about halogen ovens, but the average table top oven uses silicone wraps.
