Can anyone make any recommendations for Subli Metals as a supplier?

I've just gave them a call to order a few items to test and try out and they don't take orders over the phone only on the web site. There's also quite a complicated samples policy to adhere to if you want to order a small amount. There's also a well we might get it out for you in a certain amount of time but we might not.

first impressions is not too good for me but I'd love to here of any views from people who have used them in the past before I place a test order.

thanks

Have never had a problem with them, find their service brilliant and quality of the metal coating is superb.

Those blank samples aren't mass produced products sitting on a shelf, it requires someone to actually cut them from a large sheet of aluminium. It's labour intensive and dealing with hundreds of sample requests I imagine is fiddly. Yes it can be frustrating when you are trying to develop new products, so I personally arrange to have the metal cut myself. But ordering from the catalogue is straight forward and reliable.

I order from them if i have a qty to get, but for smaller orders their postage charges are just a tad on the high side.

I've just put in a test order so we'll see what happens.
I could not be bothered with working my way through their samples process so I added a few more items that might be worth looking at to take the order over £35.00

The delivery charge is about normal, it's certainly no more than my other suppliers. The only difference is that my other suppliers guarantee next day delivery if I order by a certain time and Subli Metals don't So I'll just have to wait and see when it turns up.

We use them a bit for 5mm cut sheet, very good service indeed and the free delivery threshold is pretty low.

I think BMS are around 25 to 30% cheeper though if it's in a size they can manufacture.

I received the items this afternoon so very happy with the delivery time being next working day delivery.

The products are really nice and done some test printing today and they look really nice.

The only product I'm a little concerned over is the large clock face could do with having a little extra thickness but the print is really nice and it is currently looking nice on the wall. Not sure if it will warp over time though. Can aluminium warp?

Look at ...Nova Chrome...Exel Engraving...The Transfer Press. you'll find their prices a lot more competitive

I already use Nova Chrome for some items but they don't do the metal sizes I want.

Pricing is not too much of a worry for me - there is always going to be someone who can supply cheaper as there is always some one willing to sell cheaper than I sell at.

As long as I'm happy with the product quality and delivery reliability then price is not a major issue as price accordingly.
