polo shirts £5 surely I can buy for cheaper than that but where ive tried FOL and uneek them both seem to be above a fiver for 1 surely cant make money at those prices as it will mean I'm more expensive than others

£5 for a decent polo isn't too bad at all, tee shirts you'll get under £1 but polos are more and you need to be selling for a higher price.

look at ashquith & fox, from ralawise. depends on what volume and your spend is with a wholesaler.

but between £4.50 and £7.00 depends on style, brand all the usuals.

The pounds devaluation following the Brexit vote has hit the wholesalers prices pushing them up, if it ever recovers I wonder if the prices would be reduced back! It's true to say the little guys are having to swallow this or face being less competitive. Tough call whether to hike your prices or not.

I haven't raised my prices as to do so will make me non-competitive. It seems in this industry literally every penny counts when considering quotes.

This might be a bit daft to suggest but have you tried to import from over here? Many Polos are sold for under 5€. Try TopTex in Belgian. Falk and Ross, L-Shop, Cotton Classics here in Germany.
