Re: Mug Suppliers

Hi
I've been out of the mug printing game for a while now and this question has probably been asked many times over but could anyone tell me who the best mug suppliers are at the moment both for quality and price.

Thanks

Listawood Duraglaze this end, both commercial and customers seem to like them.

Yes I agree. We tend to use Duraglaze but also 5013 mug from Xpres. Both companies offer DSF discounts.

I use xpres now. BMS are great but delivery cost is a killer. Duraglaze is a great coating but the mugs stain horribly for tea drinkers, I had so many bad reviews I had to pull them.

Interesting. Has anyone else had complaints about staining of Listawood Duraglaze mugs? These are what I am using now, but have just recently changed so would like to know if there are any issues withthem.

Nope, never had a problem although I know other customers have.

I recently purchased a box of every single mug available from every single supplier (except Xpres due to the fact I can't be arsed to deal with them), my customer wanted to look at every one as they are really really fussy.

Once printed I felt that both the BMS European and the Listawood Budget mugs stood out as clear winners in terms of quality of print, look and feel. My customer selected the Listawood Budget mug as their personal preference. The fact that there is a 100% NO FADE guarantee on the mug is an added bonus.

I know that the Raja mug is slightly better, but they are also difficult to deal with in my opinion (unanswered emails is a pet hate of mine). To be fair, Listawood being up the road from me does give them a slight advantage for me as I can order in the morning and collect later that day. But that convenience would never sway my opinion if they were a crap mug.

How come you can't be arsed to deal with Xpres, socialgiraffe?

We've been dealing with them for years and have had fantastic service over that time.

Just found them difficult and from what I have read on here about their postage discount issues it seems I am not alone. I also spoke to them at a trade show about a machine for a different project. Instead of listening to what I wanted and reacting, the person tried selling me something that was well beyond my requirements and about £10 grand over what I needed to spend. Just can not be bothered now as there are too many other suppliers out there.

I acknowledge that they are a good supplier though and have a lot of happy customers who use their products and never have issue. From what I hear their mugs are really good. Just like Raja, who arguably have the best mug in the UK. It was just how I have found them and to be fair to them, that is probably more my fault than theirs.
