I know kazI wasn't having a dig at you passing the surcharge on either, I know about it, so factor that into my costs when buying/reselling.

Re: where to buy blanks
KazThere have been problems with the paypal cards being sent out when the current one expires. In fact, I'm not sure they are still doing them, will look into it elsewhere.
Just thought I would let you know that I have received a new Paypal card a couple of weeks ago after my old one had expired.

It's very interesting to see the comments on here about Paypal!
As many of you know we do not accept Paypal. We are asked maybe once a week about this and my standard response is that the cost of Paypal is so much higher than credit cards - and particularly debit cards, that we would probably have to add a surcharge of around 3 or 4 % for Paypal payments. This seems to dissuade most people from wanting to pay by Paypal, but I was interested to see that Martin applies a surcharge and some of you guys don't have a problem with this. Maybe we need to look again

You could be losing out on a lot of sales by not accepting paypal, some people will just hit the back button once they realise you don't.
And if you do decide to do it, the surcharges may be high to start with, but once you've been going for a while, the surcharges should come down. It's all to do with how much you have going through a merchant account.

Thanks for that Tom.
I know there had been problems, from reading other forums, glad they got it sorted

I would certainly buy from you if it was more convenient to pay (particularly if I could pay online by hitting a PayPal button or something). The simplicity of browsing websites, comparing prices, building up shopping carts, then hitting a payment button, and then forgetting about it until the order arrives is what appeals to me.TransferGraeme wrote:It's very interesting to see the comments on here about Paypal!

I'm sure there are some people that would be dissuaded by charging them the difference between credit card and PayPal payments, but it's not like you'd be abolishing your current methods of payment. It'd be the customer's choice.
