Our gripes of the day!
Re: Our gripes of the day!
Although my listing state despatch with 24 hours, If I get the order before 16.00hrs, I usually get it out the very same day, and most of my deliveries are either on time or before ebay time, but the Argos ones, no chance. As you say eBay themselves wont listen, and the more people stop using the Argo route, the more the message will get through.
I watch some of the webinars that they do, and I shall be making it known the next time on them how bad things are with regards using Argo for collection.

Thanks eBay. Your message in our accounts section is so enlightening - "You've had a few late deliveries recently."

Oh I cannot belive how many where is my item messeges getting from eBay ..from Monday all the deliveries sign for only but OBA ppi sing for ones seems to be not updated on the traking info and they only come up when the item delivered and itz taking over 3 days for sing for so annoying. .. I've changed the despatch date to 10 days (system showing January ) and increased the price still ppl buying. ..
Re: Our gripes of the day!
I always adjust my dispatch time from 1 day to 3 days on ebay the week before xmas, also i often switch my shop on ebay totally off and it never affects my place in the listings.
Re: Our gripes of the day!
I am stopping "signed for" service, I ran a trial over the last 4 weeks and decided to self insure products I sent in the particular price point range, I am probably about £900 ish better off( I wont know exactly until all the INR claims are in) Another draw back with signed for is that if the customer has been carded for collection at sorting office it doesnt show, all it proves is that the custy hasnt got the item. So I still lose on an INR claim.
Most of my customers are honest, maybe the main categories I sell in help. One other fact that has become even more apparent over the last few weeks is that "price shoppers" expect the most for less., and cost me more in time sorting out their gripes, maybe its time to move price points up and re evaluate some of my ranges. Ill wait till all the numbers are in, and go from there.
Ebay has been by far the worst sales channel for unsatisfied custies.

Depends where in the listing you are I guess. We are "top selling" on an item and eBay told us on the phone that if we "turn off" we will plummet down. Although after yet another Christmas of very late RM deliveries it makes us think that the pocket money change we get from selling maybe isn't worth it. We use eBay as a marketing platform for larger sales which does work but of course you have the hassle of stupid people inbetween the considerate ones.

For sellers on fleabay it's always a case of 'put up or shut up.' You can't fix stupid!

I definitely put up. I do what I need to do to run my business and keep 12 staff in employment. Ebay is what it is, it works for me. When it doesnt then I'll consider different options. If I get stuck maybe you can guide me in the right direction, up until then Ill manage
