Just as the Christmas rush starts to die down, the blanket in one of my presses has died (one side running hotter than the other). Replacement ordered so sorted. Very considerate of it to wait until the Christmas rush was subsiding.:biggrin:

I do indeed carry a spare as in a complete press and spare printer for just such occasions. I had one blanket go bang a few years ago, that made me jump, then chuckle as a wisp of smoke rose from it in true cartoon style.
According to the press count it's done 4690 mugs....I'm impressed with that!!!

I have 2 adkins, and 2 bms presses. It's an adkins blanket that has just given up.

Ha ha same here in that our 4 month old Adkins blanket has developed a cold spot half way through a large mug run today.

I have a mug press die every Christmas. Already had a new one sitting in a box to take its place. Getting worried about my very favourite press, the blanket is developing burnt spots.

I hope it wasn't the Adkins I sold you Janners? I barely used it.

At nearly 5000 mugs that blanket excelled itself! It was actually my other adkins press. I think I normally get about 2000 mugs before a blanket starts to show either hot or cold spots.

Go for a reputable organisation that will guarantee you next day delivery for Tuesday morning. Xpres would be the go to organisation for us.
