I know a lot of people on here lambast Sawgrass, but I think they came through on this.
I don't know about "lambasting" Sawgrass. All I want is for them to come out and state what it is they support. I still haven't seen anything on their website that admits they support anything. I'd have thought that would be something so very simple to do, and would set many existing and potential users' minds at rest, and result in more happy sales of Sawgrass products. I can't see any reason to hide this support, yet they do.

That's a decision for Sawgrass as to how they make this known more explicitly. All I can say is that systems are supported with back up at least in the first 12 months and clearly, on a case by case basis, this may extend to longer periods as testified on this forum on more that one occasion. Maybe 'lambasting' was a bit strong, but it got a reaction

Well it's isn't an attack on Sawgrass in isolation. If any third party claimed support on behalf of a manufacturer who, themselves, say no such thing I would neither rely on nor trust that such support would be forthcoming.

I mean, if I went around saying to my customers that "my supplier BMS will support your placemats if they break in the first 12 months", why should anyone believe me?

We have the same problem with our GX7000.

We don't use Powerdriver and have never used any sublimation inks in the printer.

We get black horizontal lines spaced about 5cms apart!

PS Yes, I know this is an old post :)

Hi all,

Please see pics below. You will noticed black horizontal lines/spots in a line on the phone case. Interestingly this is appearing only when we print yellow cases. Going bonkers trying to figure out what is wrong. Nozzle checks etc done, but the issue persists just with this design. Really appreciate any help/guidance we can receive on this issue.

Hi Ravster. So, are the lines just showing after sublimation or do they appear on the printout?

I think a description of which printer/ink/paper combination you are using might help to determine the answer to your question.

Webtrekker,Thanks for the revert.

The Lines do not appear on paper; only on the case after the sublimation process. Interestingly the position of lines on the covers, when they appear, seem to be consistent.
& they appear on light coloured cases /cases where the background colour we are printing are light colours.

Printer: Epson L800
Paper & Inks: Locally sourced (assuming they come from China). Branded Inks are hard to find here in India. The supplier, though, also, made a custom ICC profile for us.
Process followed: Pressing them in 3D vacuum press machine with 160 c temp

Please do let me know if you would need any other details.

I'd be inclined to think it's more of a pressing problem than a printer problem then, or a problem with the cases themselves.

I've no experience with 3D vacuum presses but no doubt someone will soon be along to help.

Thanks for the express response. Will check & share outcomes. Meanwhile, as you said, let's see if any other inputs come through. TC, webtrekker

Which way are the lines running - could it be a guide, or wheel, within the printer leaving very light marks?
