Colour problem - Ricoh SG3110DN

Afternoon all,

I've just bought a new Ricoh SG3110dn from CityInk, as the last one that I'd bought (second hand) has got banding issues. I was relieved that at last the prints would turn out well. But now I've been hit with a new problem. The colours aren't as they should be, they seem to be very yellow.

I've followed the ICC profile setup, but nothing seems to be helping. I'm putting the mugs in for the same time as I did with the old printer (which aside of the banding, the colours were spot-on).

If anyone can advise me this would be much appreciated.

Yes, I can't understand where it's going wrong :frown:.

Stupid question, I know, but is the paper in the right way up? (ie. upside-down in the Ricoh paper tray).

Have you set up your printing software (eg. Photoshop) to let Photoshop (or whatever) manage colours, and not the printer?

Is your printer driver set to High Quality, Plain paper? Have you switched off the 'Color Profile' in the printer driver: Settings --> Detailed Settings --> Print Quality?

Is the software actually using the ICC Profile?

Yes, I have all of the above settings as you've said. I can't understand what's wrong with it! I'll have another look at it later when my little boy's in bed. If I can't sort it out I'll have to ring CityInk tomorrow, and see if they can help me.
