Having seen the home page of Listawood then quite impressed that they "produce" 13 million mugs a year. Does this word "produce" mean coating mugs bought overseas or do they manufacturer mugs? If manufacture then that's a big game changer as we might migrate from Xpres in order to put a true MADE IN UK on packaging.

The only UK manufacturer of sublimation mugs were Tams, but they went into receivership.

There's no true UK mug.

One box of my listawood mugs has a label which says Marie 10oz which I believe is European or more specifically German sizing, so they could be German or maybe just coated in Germany? Another box of the "same" mugs has a different label though.

Decent mugs though, they have a nice solid feel to them but sizes do vary a little but generally nice straight sides. We've had virtually no wastage for the first time, since using them however. Just hope they stay consistent as I'm fed up of swapping suppliers due to dodgy mugs or no stock.

Could I ask Lucifax where you buy the A or AAA grade?

Sure, they are the 10oz Duraglaze AAA's.

We aren't volume mug sellers so the extra 10p per mug isn't such a big deal for us really.

Not heard that name for a long time, and I only live around the corner! .... I run a slip house (google that one lol) in the Potteries and a few month ago a customer came in and we got talking about coating, something he said he was going to look in to.... I'll see how he got on next time he comes in!

I think we will move over to Listawood shortly and the AAA mug. Although we are fans of the Xpres 5013 mug (BMS RN we love but they are too expensive) and the free delivery on 72 mugs it is becoming more of a requirement to have printing on the bottom of the mug (dishwasher safe + logo). And yes, we do have those water proof laser printed stickers but we sell to national retailers and that doesn't really look too professional. So getting mugs from Listawood that are pad printed with a one colour print to the base seems perfect. Shame no other supplier offers such a service for only about 10p per mug.

I would have to dig out exact quote when in studio on Monday but I would say there was setup cost for plate around £35 and min order of 100 which added around 10p per mug.

Those Marie German mugs are also sold as A grade. When ordering the A grade you could receive one of two mugs. One I love, one I hate!
