Just been sat here contemplating life, the universe, the lack of cyan ink in my Ricoh 7100 printer and the abscence of a replacement in the post and I have noticed that above the paper drawer and below the output chute, there is a flat plastic shelfy type thing that pulls out with a channel moulded into it that looks like it should guide something into the printer. Its smaller in width than A4 so its not a quick and easy A4 single sheet insertion device - wouldn't that be a god send!
So what is it??
I'll go and get my arse kicking boots out from the garage ready.

It's a dust cover that extends to cover the otherwise exposed paper when using A3 (or larger than A4 paper)...
