Re: Moving Printers

I'm going to attempt to move the rest of my equipment into the new workshop today. Any tips for moving printers?

Should I remove the carts since they love spilling ink out, or keep them in the printer thinking that the printer head seals will stop them from leaking?

What printer is it?
small or large format?
sealed carts, refill carts, CISS?
Is there a waste tank?

I bought new printers, so they are fine, but the printer that needs to be moved is an A4 Epson WF 4015 office printer with installed XL carts filled with ink. No additional waste tank.

Drive 2 mph over the speed bumps, spirit level on top, up and down flights of stairs I'll be fine.

I moved my Epson 4900 last year. Had to be rotated 90 degrees to get through one door then the same again, 500 miles in a van then rotated again to get to its new resting place. Left everything in place and it is quite happy.

Reassuring to know! When you have your only smoothly working printer up and running whilst still taking orders, upsetting it would be disastrous.
