Re: How Would You Deal With This Request?

Post by Stitch Up »

Hi guys

Just received the attached image file to be placed on the left breast of a navy polo.

Just interested to know how you'd deal with this? The white star being a bit of pain to create cutlines.

We have a Roland BN20 - a Graphtec CE-5000 cutter

Image attached :)

Cheers

John

I don't see how you can do anything other than print it on white vinyl....Siser for example and then contour cut it with a 1mm edge all round. At least that way you get the white and the whole thing will stand out nicely against the navy colour of the polo.

Is all the white in the image the colour of the Polo or is the "Swoosh" white too? Exception being the star. If the background is the polo then cut it and tell the customer that the detail in the star is too much and that you have to reduce the detail a little so you can cut and weed it. It wont look bad.
If its all white then use the BN20.

@RogerC
That at present is my main option :)

@Earl
The star is in white and the other white to be the polo navy colour :)

Id go Rogers way because the Swoosh will look good in white. Easier to do as well.
But dont forget to ask the customer. :-)

I don't know quantities yet and will of course bring out sourcing into the mix if necessary.

Our other option is to use our NeoFlex DTG - didn't even cross my mind earlier!!

I'll report back on what we decide to do :)

Thanks for the replies.
